The heart-warming gratitude

Thank you very much. I am obliged. Gratitude, a quality that is a must to live a good life. Gratitude, a quality that makes both the giver and the receiver happy. Somebody helped me and I forgot about it. Somebody helped me and I remembered it and said thanks. What is better? Many of us forget to thank. We take everything for granted. We take help as our right.

How many of us express gratitude towards earth for allowing us to live on it? How many of us express gratitude towards sun for giving us its light and life to us? How many of us express gratitude to water for quenching our thirst? How many of us say thanks to flowers for making us happy? All of us take these for granted. We don't express gratitude to our own body to survive in this world. Gratitude has a great quality. It makes one who expresses gratitude feel very good. Try it and you will find your heart filling with warmth.

Husband takes wife for granted and vice versa. People are forgetting the art of saying thank you. Why not make other person feel good? By receiving a thanks, the recipient feels worthy. I am a good person. I did something good, so I am getting this Thanks. Why should we miss even the smallest opportunity to express thanks? It costs us nothing. But it is invaluable for one who gets it. Even the smallest gesture made by any body deserves our gratitude. A cab driver, a flower seller, a guard, an attendant, a waiter, everyone who does anything for us, should be told - Thank you very much.

Life is tough for all of us. There is no charm left for many of us in the routine of work. A thank you brings beauty in a dull life. Like a rainbow in the sky, an expression of thanks decorates the heart of the giver and the recipient. The way rain quenches the dry earth, gratitude quenches the desires of hearts to feel good. It quenches the thirst of the hearts. Let us all express our heart warming gratitude and make our earth a better place.

Analysis what s in it for us

Hand analysis and Hand reading isn't really anything dark or extremely predictive anymore. It is however not that accurate either. It is more modern, logical and almost scientific in approach today and has moved from it's ancient fortune telling roots and tendencies. Modern hand reading has evolved to something more akin to a correctional, motivational and something like a hand-holding tool which can be a great help to get your life back into perspective. It has emerged as an awesome way to introspect oneself and be able to chart out our lives in the right way, getting it back onto course ( If it went wayward, that is!).

Since it delves on what kind of person you are as it throws light upon what might be the best course of action in your life : It might tell you as to which course you must be taking up; which career might suit you better; what kind of people might you be getting along with; where you might end up in relationships; who might make a better spouse for you; what kind of person should you rather be; how you would want to break free ; your approach to problem-solving, decision making and reacting to different situations life can throw at you and a horde of other things which would have all just passed away as mere figments of thinking from an over-worked and constantly stressed mind.

Coupled with psychology, it could prove to be a powerful tool to get a thorough insight about the kind of person you really are. Not only that, it can provide professional help to people who need such help on a regular basis. If you just looked around and put your finger on the level of stress that is floating around in the corporate world today, chances are that your finger would just get burnt. In such a frenetically paced, rat-race infected, jet-age that we live in, tools like these only give the much needed respite in re-directing the entire course of your existence that is threatened to burn itself out. Family behavioural traits, how you would probably behave in different situations and such like is largely dependent on how your ancestors where and this, yet again, can be ascertained from modern hand reading.

The uses are many, but the important thing that ought to be remembered is that there is a little bit of unlearning that we might have to do when we deal with ancient subjects like these because what we believe isn't really what we see and what you see generally changes over time. If you ask as to what it can do for you, it might not be much, but then , if you really wanted to change, it can be something which you can use.

Reaccurring chase dreams can be trying to tell you something

Having dreams of being chased are one of the universally common dreams. Unfortunately, these are dreams that will sometimes follow one all throughout their life. Most dream interpretation experts feel that chase dreams are reflections of anxiety or pressure that is going on in the dreamer’s life.

Chase dreams can exhibit themselves in a range of ways. Often the dreamer is being chased by someone that they fear will harm them or even kill them. These dreams are many times so realistic that the dreamer will be frightened for a few minutes even after waking up.

So what is it in our waking state that causes us to be chased in our dreams? Perhaps there is something that we know we must do but for whatever reason we have been avoiding. This action that we are avoiding could be the attacker in our dream. Instead of facing the task and taking action we choose to run away from it. So this dream represents the things that you are trying to get away from or avoid like a bad relationship, a job that we hate, maybe even a book report that’s due.

It’s said that if you have been troubled by the same reoccurring chase dream you can examine what is going on in your life that you are trying to avoid, confront it and the chase dreams go away.

Some times the attacker in the dream is not something that you are avoiding but can even be yourself. Unsettled feelings of resentment, anger and fright can often enter your dreams in the form of the threat of an attacker. Again, in reality the attacker is just a representation of your life.

Sometimes you can resolve a dream by confronting the attacker in the dream. This can be difficult for some people as they are unable to take an active role in the dream state, if you are able to though, give it a shot. Ask the attacker what they want why are they chasing you, you may find the answer to your wake state trouble right from the attacker.

Of course chase dreams do not always have symbolic meaning. Sometimes dreams where you are being chased simply represent a fear of being a victim to crime. This type of direct fear dreams are more common in women than in men. Women, in particularly those living in high crime areas, often feel in danger in their waking lives, and this fear just carries over into their dream state.

It doesn’t really matter why you are having these chase dreams, it is generally possible to reduce or eliminate them simply by examining the cause of these dreams in the first place.

Soluble new years resolutions

As Big Ben chimes at midnight on 31st December we toast in the New Year and make all those decisions about what we want for the next year, and talk about all the great things we will achieve. Then what? By the end of January or possibly, if we are lucky, February our resolve has ‘dissolved’ and life carries on as normal until the next time Big Ben chimes out a new year.

Does this sound familiar? If so you are one of the millions of people who make (and subsequently break!) their New Years resolutions year after year.

So why do we do it? What makes January the first such a special time to make a change to our lives and why is it then so difficult to maintain that change?

The answer to this may never be fully known and understood but in my experience there are a number of key reasons that apply to some, if not all, of the broken resolutions.

- We are not at our most sober or ‘clear thinking’ when we make the commitment.

- Everyone breaks New Years Resolutions so why shouldn’t we?

- January is wet, miserable and cold (or hot and sunny depending on where you live) and the weather affects our mood and desire to achieve.

- The friends we tell our resolutions to on NYE either can’t remember or are too busy breaking their own to be motivational

So how can we make changes that are lasting in our lives? These are a few of the positive steps that we can all take to help us make lasting changes in our lives.

- Chose a day and time in the very near future and make that your ‘change my life plan’ day – don’t wait for New Year.

- Tell as many people as you can about your plan and tell them you want to stick to it. It is much easier keeping a commitment you have made to others than just to yourself.

- Set your goal or plan in achievable, measurable steps – try and change the world in a day and you are destined to fail!

- Choose a looking forward plan where you focus on what you want to achieve, not what you want to avoid.

So as we head towards, or away from the New Year lets just enjoy the celebrations and make today the day to make lasting change.

When a technique doesn t work try another in managing your fears

What do you do when you try to manage your fears and it doesn’t work the first time around? The answer is that you try again with other techniques that might be more effective. Here are some things that a person should consider when managing their fears and anxieties.

The person struggling with the anxiety must realize that managing anxiety and fear takes practice. So when experiencing an anxiety related situation, begin to learn what works, what doesn’t work, and what you need to improve on in managing your fears and anxieties. As you do this, you will become better in dealing with your anxieties.

Try to learn what is the real source of your fears and anxieties. Knowing what the source of your problem is can go a long way in finding the solution. Think about it and try to figure out what is the source of your fears and stress. If you do not know, then ask a professional or a counselor. As a Layman, I learned that finding the source of your fears will put you that much closer in getting better.

Sometimes we get stressed out when everything happens all at once. When this happens, a person should take a deep breath and try to find something to do for a few minutes to get their mind off of the problem. A person could get some fresh air, listen to some music, or do an activity that will give them a fresh perspective on things. Once you do that you will be able to think more clearly.

Learn as much as you can in managing anxiety and depression. There are many books and information that will educate you on how to deal with fear and anxiety. Share this information with others who may come up with new ideas. Education is the key in finding the answers your looking for in managing your fears.

Remember to take it one day at a time. Instead of worrying about how you will get through the rest of the week or coming month, try to focus on today. Each day can provide us with different opportunities to learn new things and that includes learning how to deal with your problems. Focus on the present and stop trying to predict what may happen next week. Next week will take care of itself.

As a Layman, I realize it is not easy to deal with all of our fears. When your fears and anxieties have the best of you, seek help from a professional. The key is to be patient, take it slow, and not to give up. In time, you will be able to find those resources that will help you with your problems.
