Trends in furniture

Remember when everyone was buying contemporary furniture or early American furniture? Or French provincial? These days there really isn’t a furniture trend. Instead, it’s all about buying the furniture YOU like that most suitably fits your lifestyle.

Today’s trend about furniture color is a simple one. If you like it, buy it. If you don’t, don’t buy it. The color scheme for furniture encompasses all tastes. You can find the softest pastels, the brightest blues, the most vibrant reds, and any other color you like in just about all kinds of furniture.

So, how do you make your home feel “trendy” in a day and age where there is no trend? It is simple: be yourself. If you have a brown leather sofa that you’ve had for a while but it’s still in good shape, buy a new orange corduroy recliner to throw into the mix. The color will give your old furniture a breath of fresh air.

Maybe you can dress up your current furniture with some trendy throw pillows. Make your furniture look extra special by purchasing (or making, if you happen to be creative with a needle and thread) throw pillows accented with beads, ribbon, or appliquйs to fit the theme of your room.

Do you have a room full of shabby chic furniture that you bought a few years ago but now you feel like it is outdated? Give it an update. Give it a light sanding and repaint with a brighter color or a darker one, depending on the rest of the dйcor in your room.

Another way to make your room seem trendy is to leave your furniture alone all together. Instead of trying to create a trendy room based on your furniture, choose to paint your room. What color is your room now? If the walls are white or beige, any color will be a welcome change. If you have had vivid walls for a while, maybe now is the time to go neutral. Any change will make your room – and its furniture – feel fresh and trendy!

If you don’t want to update your room by painting – or if you live in a rental that prohibits painting -- make your furniture seem trendier by hanging new pictures and putting new accessories on your old tables. If you’re tired of the “country” feel your furniture and room provokes, take down the country inspired art and replace it with something modern that uses the same colors already part of your furniture. Add a big colored glass vase to a table and drop a bouquet of silk flowers in it. Or, if that has been your look, replace it with a bud vase and a single, long stemmed poppy, rose or daisy. Sometimes you can make your furniture look new just by what you place near it!

Decide what look you like and create it. Don’t worry about what’s “in.” As long as it fits in your lifestyle and budget, these days it is considered “in.”

Making life easier with home loan refinance

The bills just seem to keep coming. The roofer says that you’ll need a new one soon. College is just a year away and moms’ senior center is increasing rates. A home loan refinance option may be what is needed to pull it all together into a neat package designed to make your life easier.

Investing to make it work

Paying off the mortgage was always thought to be one of those defining moments. As it turns out it is defining. Unfortunately, the moment is not the one you may have thought about originally. Paying off your mortgage means that you let the bank take advantage of your money. Instead, think about home loan refinance and saving some money meant for the bank. This option lets you use your money to fullest advantage instead of letting the bank use it to theirs. Home loan refinance can make your life easier to deal with by paying down all those high interest rates.

Pulling it all together

One way or the other that roof is going to need to be upgraded. There is little that can be done about that. Junior needs to go to college somehow. Costs are a killer but somehow he needs to get there through a series of scholarships, matches, loans and what not. Mom’s care needs to be addressed as well, in one form or another. The bills are and will be coming from everywhere. A home loan refinance program may be just the ticket to pull everything together. A home loan refinance program would mean lower or nonexistent bills.

Is now the time

Whether you opt for a home loan refinance option at this point in time is really a life and regional choice. If your plans entail staying in the same home for the longer term it is the perfect time to consider a home loan refinance option. Rates are being reset so a solid indication of where they will be for an extended period is available.

Prices have begun to fall on homes but they have yet to go anywhere near where they could have gone considering the situation. If you are sticking around for a while the values will come back in a few years, so a home loan refinance program should be OK at this point.

Everything ages

Home loan refinance is one way of looking at the aging process of your home and life, everything ages. You bought your home with old dollars. The roof with aging wood and the child is just like you some time ago. At some point they all need to go to the health club for a reshaping, something to get them back on, or continuing on a healthy track. New dollars can get them to the next step and moving forward. Everything needs a booster now and again to pull it all together. A refinance program is just that.

If you are still in doubts on home loan refinance, do not hesitate to visit the link below for more information as we as the expert in this area could give you good advice.

Selling second-hand goods online a lucrative business

The internet has virtually changed the way we certain aspects of our lives. It has changed the way we view where we get the latest news, how to communicate with one another, how we play, how we shop and even how we trade and make money.

The internet has made these aspects of our lives more instantaneous and, with regards to shopping and trading, brought these activities to our door steps. It now allows us to shop and purchase items that we like by just looking at the items offered in different websites. Ditto for trading, where we now have the opportunity to sell and trade products and, thus earn money, from the comfort of our homes.

The potential for online trading is so great that there are now people who do this professionally. They have quit their regular jobs and instead work and support their families by buying and selling various products online.

One of the most lucrative and interesting aspect of online trading is the buying and selling of used or second-hand goods. Through the power of the internet, web based marketplaces have sprouted all over where visitors can browse around for various second hand goods and purchase them online. It is like a virtual flea market where you can browse through different items of interest that have been owned previously by other people. The significant difference between doing this in an actual flea market and selling it online is the number of people of potential customers that will see your items. Potentially, the people that will be able to see your items online can number in the high thousands, and that is just a conservative estimate. What’s more since you sell your items online, you won’t have to man any stalls or booths. If there is a person who wants to buy your items, then you just get notified by email. Isn’t that convenient?

People who would like to try selling their used goods online don’t even have to set up their own websites – which can be quite difficult especially since you will need to install a payment gateway which can be quite hard and expensive to set up. They can always go join online communities that encourage the buying and selling of used goods. Communities like usedjunction. com make the task of selling used goods so much easier. These websites already have their infrastructure in place that can accommodate both the buying and selling functions of a virtual marketplace. Another benefit of joining these online communities is that you get to take advantage of the marketing muscle of the website. With minimal marketing efforts from you as a seller, you can be assured that prospective customers will still be able the items that you are selling. This is a tremendous benefit that should not be overlooked. Just make sure that you give a good description of your item, and more importantly good quality pictures of the items that you are selling so that you can be noticed by prospective buyers.

How exactly do septic tanks work

A sewerage drain field and a septic tank make up a small scale sewage treatment system. A septic tank is basically a rectangular shaped underground receptacle for wastewater. It is watertight, made of concrete, and consists of tanks that are divided into chambers. The first chamber has twice the volume as the second and the majority of the organic solid matter, referred to as sludge, gets settled here. The second chamber further purifies the wastewater.

The septic tank collects wastewater from toilets, showers, sinks, etc. Due to the absence of a current the sludge quickly settles down to the tank floor. Anaerobic bacterial digestive activity on the sludge leads to the generation of methane and carbon dioxide; the sludge is stabilized and does not rot anymore. Particles of stabilized sludge stay settled, some may float to the top as scum.

A septic tank should be constructed such that there is maximum contact time with the microorganisms so as to enable swifter digestion of the sludge. This is achieved by placing the inlet, overflow, and outlet diagonal to each other and by making the streams flow in vertically placed pipes.

The semi-purified water moves to the second chamber via the overflows that are constructed such that the upward motion of water prevents larger particles from flowing into the second chamber. The feeding, digestion, and settlement of organic matter continues in the second chamber. The retention time in the second chamber is half that of the first chamber because of its size and the fact that the amount of organic matter to treat is less. The outlet is constructed in the diagonal corner to the overflow.

The treated wastewater is directed to a drain field, also known as a seepage field, where any impurities that still exist get decomposed naturally, the water is taken up by the plant root system or it may even become a part of the groundwater. The large sized drainage field is required if the soil is not very porous. A septic system can be made to work entirely by using gravitational forces; at some places, however, a pump may be required to overcome topographical limitations.

The rate of sludge generation in septic tanks is around 0.05 cubic yards every year for an individual. Septic tanks need to be emptied every few years so that there is enough reaction space for the microorganisms to attack the wastewater and for the sludge to settle.

The septic tank may be emptied every 5-7 years depending upon the amount of wastewater it processes. The tank is emptied using an exhauster truck manned by trained personnel. The sludge that is sucked into the exhauster truck is released into public waste water treatment plants, sanitary landfills, or sludge drying beds.

Properly digested sludge can be used as a natural fertilizer; this is possible only if no fresh wastewater is added to the tank for at least one week.

The design of the septic tank should be such that the wastewater always flows in its designated path and no short circuits in the water flow occur. T-pipe-connectors with inflow and outflow openings under the water level should be used for inlet, overflow, and outlet pipes. This prevents the floating scum from clogging the pipes. A grease trap should be provided for the wastewater inflow pipe.

Motivational sayings - ten great ones

:
Why read motivational sayings? For motivation! You might need a bit, if you can use last year's list of goals this year because it's as good as new. All of us can benefit from inspirational thoughts, so here are ten great ones.

"Be more concerned with your character than with your reputation. Your character is what you really are while your reputation is merely what others think you are." - Dale Carnegie

"Do not wait; the time will never be 'just right.' Start where you stand, and work with whatever tools you may have at your command, and better tools will be found as you go along." - Napoleon Hill

"What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

"Some men see things as they are and say, "Why?" I dream of things that never were and say, "Why not?" - George Bernard Shaw

"A small trouble is like a pebble. Hold it too close to your eye and it fills the whole world and puts everything out of focus. Hold it at a proper distance and it can be examined and properly classified. Throw it at your feet and it can be seen in its true setting, just one more tiny bump on the pathway of life." - Celia Luce

"Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending." - Carl Bard

"I'm not telling you it is going to be easy - I'm telling you it's going to be worth it" - Art Williams

Motivational Sayings - Attitude

Attitude "There is little difference in people, but that little difference makes a big difference. The little difference is attitude. The big difference is whether it is positive or negative." - W. Clement Stone

"Nothing on earth can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal; nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude." - Thomas Jefferson

"A person cannot directly choose his circumstances, but he can choose his thoughts, and so indirectly, yet surely, shape his circumstances." - James Allen

"Man often becomes what he believes himself to be. If I keep on saying to myself that I cannot do a certain thing, it is possible that I may end by really becoming incapable of doing it. On the contrary, if I have the belief that I can do it, I shall surely acquire the capacity to do it even if I may not have it at the beginning." - Mohandas Karamchand (Mahatma) Gandhi

These are quotes that mean something to me. Hopefully one or two of them are also inspiring to you. If not, maybe they will motivate you to create your own motivational sayings.

Investing advice 5 benefits of etfs

When people ask for investing advice, ETFs usually come up pretty quickly, because they are so heavily marketed and trumped by the industry. Exchange-traded funds, or ETFs, are an easy way to diversify a small investment, but to get the most out of your investment, it is important to understand how they operate.

ETFs are like mutual funds, in that they are a collection of investments, but they are traded on an exchange, such as the NYSE, instead of purchased directly from the issuing company. They also differ in their redemption structure and tax efficiency from traditional mutual funds.

Here are five benefits of ETFs over mutual funds:

1. Tax Efficiency: Upon redemption, mutual funds must sell its underlying securities, and the capital gains are then distributed to the owners of the funds. Since ETFs trade on an exchange and investors are selling to other investors, no underlying securities are sold, and no capital gains are distributed. If the makeup of the ETF changes it will, occasionally have to distribute gains, but it should be less frequent than with traditional mutual funds.

2. Lower Fees: ETFs are no-load funds, and you won't be slapped with a redemption fee when it's time to liquidate your position. Further, ETFs typically have lower annual fees than traditional Mutual Funds, making them an attractive alternative. (NOTE: In rare cases where a very small amount is being traded, broker's fees may be a higher percentage of the investment than a mutual fund's expenses would be, but in most of these cases the invested amount would not meet the minimum investment required by most mutual funds).

3. Liquidity: The exchange-traded structure of ETFs generally allow for liquidation of a position faster than a mutual fund, which must be liquidated at end of day. Further, the ability to set a limit order allows flexible trading that no investor could get from a mutual fund. Not all ETFs have the same liquidity, however, and it is important to review trading volumes and the ETF prospectus to determine whether you are comfortable with the frequency of trades.

4. Intraday Pricing: Because ETFs are traded on active stock exchanges, purchases and sales happen at market prices, rather than end-of-day Net Asset Value, which mutual funds use. As a result, one may purchase ETFs at a premium or a discount to the value of the underlying assets, and arbitrage is frequent.

5. No Minimum Investment: When starting investing, diversification can be cost prohibitive if you're using traditional mutual funds, which frequently have a minimum investment of $2500 or more. Because ETFs have no minimum investment (other than the market price of one share), they are a good vehicle for diversified investing.

Of course, many of these benefits could be liabilities if not used properly. For instance, the intraday pricing feature of ETFs could lead an investor to buy an ETF at a premium or sell it at a discount to the value of the underlying securities. Also, brokerage fees may have a greater impact on some investors than traditional mutual funds' management fees and loads would have.

Used wisely, ETFs can be a good vehicle for widely diversifying a small or initial investment, but it is always best to seek professional investing advice.

In the future I will cover the five negatives of investing in ETFs.

Three words to remember while looking for a holiday flat in berlin

Europe is expensive, but who says you have to pay through the noose each time you go? Reduce your travel expense by doing away with desk clerks, porters, and concierges. In Berlin, Germany, the best way to make your dollar go the extra mile is by getting a holiday flat.

A holiday flat may come furnished or unfurnished. Some call it a self-catering apartment because you tend to your own needs your own way. The best thing about a holiday flat in Berlin is living like a local and racking up expenses like one, too. One grave misconception about travel is that tourists naturally spend more money than locals. With a little planning, patience, and research, such need not be the case.

Kaltmiete

After location, rent is the second thing to consider in looking for your holiday flat in Berlin. There are three German words that will come in handy when discussing money with your landlord. The first is Kaltmiete. Its most literal translation is "cold rent." This is your rent, without utilities or side costs added.

Warmmiete

The second word you need to remember is Warmmiete. Literally, it means warm rent. This is the price of keeping your holiday flat in Berlin comfortably warm. Warmiette includes heating, but not electricity and side costs. How is it possible to include heating but exclude electricity? Simple. Many apartments are still heated by coal. To get your Warmmiete, add roughly 10 to 15 percent to the base rent.

Betriebskosten

The third word to keep in mind is Betriebskosten. In English, this is operating cost. In Germany, this is referred to as side cost and includes taxes, refuse collection, and maintenance of shared space in the building.

To determine how much a holiday flat in Berlin would cost you, inclusive of utilities and other charges, simply add 30 to 40 percent to your base price.

Doing the Math

Kaltmiete, Warmmiete, Betriebskosten are three crucial words in an apartment hunter's vocabulary. Knowledge of the three words will show you how a more expensive holiday flat in Berlin might actually be cheaper than a supposedly low-rent one. For example, Apartment A costs 300 Euros a month while Apartment B costs 250. Let us suppose both are in the same neighborhood and offer the same amenities. Apartment A's price already includes Warmmiete and Betriebskosten. Apartment B's price, on the other hand, is Kaltmiete. Without knowing what the three words mean, you would logically choose Apartment B. However, with knowledge of the three words, you would know that because you have to pay for Warrmiete and Betriebskosten, Apartment B will actually cost you between 325 and 350 Euros. Clearly, Apartment A is the better choice.

There are many other subtleties to finding the perfect holiday flat in Berlin. A lot of sites online, such as Holiday4You. com, provide tips as well as other useful information, such as pricing, location, and photographic evidence. To help ensure your vacation goes without a glitch, plan your trip and your accommodations months ahead. Even if it's your first time to visit Berlin, there is no reason for you to arrive disoriented and unprepared.

What is homestead protection

If you are sued in court and lose, the person who sued you may try to force the sale of your home to collect their money. A homestead makes it harder for them to do this.

A homestead protects some of the equity in your home. If your home is worth more money than you owe on it, you have equity. For example, if your home is worth $350,000 and you owe $300,000, you have $50,000 in equity. A homestead can protect the $50,000.

There are two types of homesteads, automatic and declared.

What is an automatic homestead?

If you live in the home you own, you already have one. It protects some of your home equity until you sell your home. You do not have to sign or file anything to have an automatic homestead

What is a declared homestead?

A declared homestead is a legal form that you record with the Registrar-Recorder’s office. A declared homestead protects some of your equity for six months after you sell your home if the following three conditions are all true:

You sell your home and buy another home within six months;

The protected amount is used to buy another home;

You record a homestead on the new home.

Only the home you live in, qualifies for a homestead.

Who needs a declared homestead?

If you’ve been sued in court, lost, and have a large money judgment against you, a declared homestead can help. If you sell your home, it protects some of the proceeds for six months. This gives you time to buy another home and record another declared homestead.

How much does a homestead protect?

Both automatic and declared homesteads protect the same amounts:

$50,000 for an individual;

$75,000 if the homeowner lives with at least one family member who has no interest in the house;

$150,000 if the homeowner is 65 years of age or older, or is physically or mentally disabled;

$150,000 if the homeowner is 55 years of age or older and single with an annual income of $15,000 or less;

$150,000 for a married couple with a combined annual income of $20,000 or less;

A homestead does not protect you against:

Foreclosure of your home by mortgage lender if you are behind on payments.

The enforcement of a mechanic’s lien;

A judgment for child or spousal support.

How do I file a declared homestead?

You can file a declared homestead by taking these steps:

Buy a declared homestead form from a stationery store or search for a generic form online.

Fill out the form.

Sign the form and have it notarized.

Contact the Registrar-Recorder’s office where the property is located for fees and filing addresses.

Companies offering to help you file a declared homestead cannot charge more than $25.

The most addicting games on the planet

If you're an avid gamer, you' probably enjoy most genres of games and puzzles. Someone asks if you'd like to play, and you immediately say, "I'm in!" In an admittedly informal survey of avid gamers (and after some very heated discussions), here are the games that they claimed were among the most addicting games on the planet.

Video Games

When it came to addicting video games, many of my gamer friends voted for the Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (for the GameCube) and WarioWare: Smooth Moves (for the Wii). The guys in the crowd were partial to the Burnout Series and the Gran Turismo series (for the Playstation). And those who were into role-playing games were vocal in their support of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (on the Xbox 360).

Board Games

All of my gamer friends love to play board games, and most named Monopoly as one of the most addicting games on the planet. Other traditional board games that ranked high included Scrabble and Risk. Some mentioned unique board games, such as Axis & Allies and Starfarers of Catan, while others stuck with Pictionary and Trivial Pursuit.

Card Games

When it came to card games, more than a few of my gamer friends admitted to having stayed up all night playing poker. Several owned high-end poker chip sets and planned their activities around their monthly poker games. There weren't any bridge players in the group, but several mentioned learning old-time card games from their parents and grandparents. The fondly reminisced about playing card games of canasta, rummy, hearts, and spades as they were growing up.

Kid's Games

All of my gamer friends said that they came from game-playing families, and that they started playing games when they were very young. Aside from card games like Old Maid and Crazy Eights, most ranked Chutes and Ladders, Sorry!, and checkers as all-time favorites. Those with kids said that some of the newer games for kids, like Cranium Cadoo and Pictionary Junior, were big hits at home, although one said that her daughter loved jigsaw puzzles more than any particular game - and had over 50 in her collection!

Strategy Games

When the subject of strategy games came up, there was an intense discussion of the merits of checkers, chess, and backgammon. The chess players in the group dismissed checkers as too simple, while the checkers players argued that the chess players were just brainiacs. Everyone did agree, though, that backgammon was one of the most addicting games on the planet.

Party Games

Naturally, all of my gamer friends often attended "game night" parties, and all agreed that 25 Words or Less and Taboo were two of the most addicting games on the planet. For more organized fun, many voted for Bunco, a mindless dice game played by 12 or more players. Everyone vouched for the fact that Bunco allows you to visit with friends while rolling the dice, accumulating points, and periodically screaming "Bunco!"

Obviously, every gamer is unique and has his or her own personal list of the most addicting games on the planet. But if you haven't dabble in those that my gamer friends recommend, give them a try - you might find them addicting as well!

Led emergency lanterns preparing your home for a power outtage

A LED emergency light is a portable light that burns cool, lasts longer than typical bulbs and uses much less energy than typical bulbs. The light produced by these lights is also significantly brighter than typical bulbs. In most cases, a LED emergency light is a flashlight, torch or lantern – all quite useful in the event that your home or office loses power or you are faced with an emergency or disaster situation.

If you have LED emergency lights there are a few things you need to know about storing them and the types of scenarios that you could consider using them for. Let’s look at ways you can get the most out of your LED emergency lights at home.

To store your emergency LED flashlight, torch or LED lantern, you should ensure that they are kept without the batteries installed in them. Batteries can leak and corrode with age and time and this leakage can completely destroy the light source and its casing. Keep two fresh sets of batteries with your LED emergency lights at all times. Make sure that the batteries are stored conveniently close to the light, either taped around it or kept inside the same box or survival kit so that you or your family will not need to hunt for them while under duress. Once every month or two, you should check to see that the batteries are working, that they haven’t corroded in their packaging and that they work with the LED emergency lights you own. If your batteries are not working, replace them with fresh ones. Mark your calendar at regular intervals to check the batteries.

You want to make sure you can find the things you need in case of an emergency. Store your LED emergency lights conveniently – somewhere that is easy to get to, even if it is very dark in your home. It won’t be convenient if it is in your junk drawer with many other items, some of which may be sharp or dangerous. Remember, if there is an emergency, the last thing you need is to compound the problems you have with an injury that could have been prevented by choosing to store your equipment in a more convenient and safe place. It’s best to keep your LED emergency lights in a place that is easy to reach and easy to find – and in more than one place. In the case of a disaster, you may not be able to get to one location in your home so it’s best to have some backups in other areas as well. Consider keeping a primary kit or light on the main floor of your home and smaller kits that include a flashlight or torch on the other levels for easy access. A few good places to keep your LED emergency lights are hanging on a peg near an entry way door or a window, near the front door and/or back door, in the first aid kit (that is also somewhere safe and easy to find), in your garage, with your emergency kit (that is somewhere safe and easy to find – usually a bag or backpack that has emergency supplies in it), and in your bedroom close to your bed. Regardless of where you choose to store your LED emergency lights, they should be easy to find, easy to reach and conveniently located in your home.

You never know when you or your family may get caught without power or light. Taking the time and steps needed to plan for an emergency can help keep you and your family safe and calm during a difficult event.

Visa student credit cards plastics with lessons

When you're 18, beautiful, and restless, what could be headier than vast spending power at your fingertips? The answer is none, and this is precisely why visa student credit cards are so popular and addictive.

With visa student credit cards, college students can easily swipe their merry way into a mile-wide list of purchases.

The Benefit

Visa student credit cards are highly popular because they're handy. You can use them to pay off student loans, for example, or gas up your convertible. You can use them to buy groceries, articles of clothing, furniture, and even plane tickets! Statistics show that the average college student owes at least $60,000 in student loans payable. Because no part-time job pays this much in a year, or even in five years, visa student credit cards are typically seen as manna from heaven.

The Catch

Even manna from heaven, however, comes with a catch. Consider this scenario. You are a student. You like something. You take out your credit card and swipe away. You go home crowing with glee over your purchase. If you think the story ends here and this way, you are sadly mistaken. Many college students forget that credit and payment go hand in hand. They buy and conveniently forget that what they take now, they would have to pay for later.

The fact that visa student credit cards grant their owners huge purchasing power only makes it worse. You would find it so much harder to restrain yourself from charging this and that.

Swiping Responsibly

If you are among those with visa student credit cards, make sure you avoid falling into debt by doing the following:

1. Pay on time.

If you have plans of moving, notify your credit card provider so they can update your contact information for you. Credit card bills frequently get lost due to errors in addresses. As much as possible, do not fall behind your payments. Some providers charge as much as $30 for late payments. Additionally, they bump up interest rates, too, if you miss one payment too many.

2. Do not ask for extra credit.

Extra credit will only lure you to borrow more. What you should do is look for visa student credit cards that come with a restrictive credit line. A restriction on your credit line, ranging from $500 to $4,000, will discourage unnecessary purchases.

3. If you don't want a restrictive credit line, why not secure a secured credit card instead?

The best thing about a secured credit card is that your credit limit hinges upon your savings at a certain bank. So, you never end up spending money you do not have.

4. Do not go crazy over cash advances.

If you think they have the same rate as your swiped purchases, think again. Cash advance interest rates are typically higher.

Visa student credit cards should work for you, not against you. The ultimate purpose of your visa student credit card should be to rescue you in times of need, not push you into huge debt.

Basic private label membership techniques and strategies

A private label membership is like having an arsenal of tools and strategy in a super all-in-one package. To help you use your tools to make the most of your investment, here are some basic guidelines to help you make the most of your private label membership.

Ground Work

Begin by taking a time out and reviewing the instructions and any helpful tips and guidelines provided in the private label membership site you have joined or are considering. Then review what rights you have which should be something along these lines (check with the individual programs to make sure):

With private label rights, you have the right to and need to make the content unique to you by revising or in other ways alter the original content. You can claim authorship after you have altered the original works.

Again, do check with your program to see specific requirements. Some ask you to revise a certain percentage. And others may have additional rules like not selling the packages for under a certain price or on eBay. When in doubt, ask questions so you know what rights you have.

Leg Work

Next break your private label projects up into small action steps, noting them on paper or a document on your computer, then take charge, tackling each step and accomplishing it.

Popular techniques and strategic steps could include:

1. Work on one project at a time. If your membership site gives you more than one ebook package, for example, only work on one at a time until it’s completely finished and loaded, ready for sale, and your marketing materials are in place.

2. Break the processing of your package down into manageable steps and write them out so that you repeat the process with each product package as it comes along for the most efficient handling of everything in your membership. Steps can include:

A. Revise and your product and marketing content: edit for spelling & grammar errors as needed, insert graphics / digital photos, insert other articles or paragraphs, etc. into the content, revise some sentences and paragraphs, after revising the sales copy, insert audio / video links, images, etc. maybe changing chapter order or orders of sections and headings, etc.

B. Brand everything. Add your contact information and especially URL to the product header / footer of each page, the sales copy, articles, autoresponder series, etc.

C. Insert money-making avenues into your product, website and marketing materials as needed: pay-per-click Google ™Adsense ads, affiliate links, banners, product images for back-end sales, sponsor and classified ads, etc.

D. Load everything in place: autoresponder messages and lead capture form code into sales page or as its own web page, main product website, product and bonus download files, audio / video files, etc.

E. Market - - daily! Set up a daily Task in your Outlook or other calendar and spend a little time each day for promotions: submitting articles with your byline & URL, post on forums and send out emails with your URL in your signature (sig) file.

Buying the right e-books to resell - the real secret

With so many E-books circulating around the Internet these days, it is becoming near impossible to figure out which are the best E-books to sell. There are thousands of topics ranging from making money to wedding video photography. So the question that plagues us, especially if you are just getting started in the E-book business, is which ones should you buy first?

Let me tell you that I have purchased literally thousands of E-books since starting in this industry. And surprisingly in an industry that is not regulated and where you can publish E-books yourself, over 50% of the E-books I have read have some very good information inside of it. But despite having this great content, only a select few ever truly hit it big and sells all over the Internet. An important lesson to learn here is that even if an E-book is well-written, has a nice sales page, and has great features, it may not sell at all! Yet somehow the obscure book I did not even want to waste my time with, such as starting an Interior design business, ended up being a very good seller.

So which products should you get? This is an important note that every E-Book seller should remember and NEVER forget. Are you ready to see it? If you forget this principle, your E-book career may well go down the drain.

ANY E-Book can SELL!

That's right, any E-Book. How is this possible you ask? It is very simple, regardless of what the E-book is written about, there will always be someone interested in the topic. Just because you and I may not find it useful or interesting, does not mean that no one else wants it either.

I'm sure that you were hoping for some type of list of the different types of best selling digital products, and trust me I would love to give you one. But the reality is that it is impossible to do so. Why is that? I will use a "Making money" E-book as an example. Now the vast majority of people would like to learn how to be wealthy, so there is an incredible demand for products that teach regular people how to become wealthy. But because there are so many people who want it, thousands of companies make all different types of products on how to make money. So even though you may find a topic with a huge demand, there is also a huge amount of competition.

Now lets say you wanted to sell an E-book about how to take care of a pet hamster. Hamsters are a fairly popular pet, but nowhere near as popular as making money. With that in mind, the demand for such information will probably be much, much smaller. So does that mean you will not make much money? It could actually mean you making more money! What if there were only a handful of E-books that taught how to care for hamsters? Even if the demand for the E-book is low, you could be one of the few people to take control of the entire market for that E-book. What if there are 1 million hamster owners, and you were the only one catering to them?

The idea behind this lesson is not to look for certain types of E-books, but instead to embrace them all. If you have a feeling an E-book will make you a lot of money, by all means try to sell it. But always be sure to give an E-book a chance to sell, it can make the difference between a little bit of money and wealth!

Jumping into forex jumping off a cliff

It is very, very simple: the Forex market can help make all your dreams come true or it can become a total nightmare and bleed you dry. As with anything in life, it helps to have a strategy in place to help guide present and future decisions. For Forex investors, there are a lot of options from which to choose, including:

• Scalping

• Swing

• Position

• Discretionary

• Automated

All of the investment strategies listed above have been proven effective in various ways and no doubt have a track record to back up their effectiveness. Still, Forex investing and the specific strategy used will boil down to the investor and their particular style: Hunter or Gatherer.

A hunter is very careful about every investment they make and do not like surprises. This style of Forex investing tends to favor technical analysis. Technical Forex traders sift through pricing charts and back test currency pairs to determine the pair with the greatest pip movement and the least volatility. A hunter does not necessarily believe that they will make a profit with every investment but they do believe that currency pricing momentum can be predicted from historical data. Trend Forex investors tend to favor technical analysis, are patient, and believe that the charts and disciplined investing are the surest path to success.

The gatherers, however, tend to favor fundamental analysis which involves the interpretation of how interest rates and overall economic performance (of the nations involved in the currency pair) will affect exchange rates. Scalping is a strategy of foragers and involves trying to predict currency rate fluctuations for a few hours or days into the future.

Those who believe in the foraging investing style believe that the size and volatility of the Forex market works to their advantage. For instance, when interest rate change announcements are made, foragers believe that they can predict and react to the market faster than the large players. If they predict how the information will change the exchange rates, then they should reap a profit if they can buy a position fast enough. Sudden spikes in gold prices, interest rates, oil prices—all of these things do indeed temporarily affect the markets—but can the forager really capitalize quicker than the larger players?

In truth, the odds are always going to be with the larger players—especially when it comes to having access to breaking news and then reacting to it before the rest of us! This is probably why most Forex traders are considered hunters and opt to use technical analysis to identify trends and then capitalize on them. It is much easier and safer to identify and capitalize on emerging new large trends than to try and make a quick profit guessing at the smaller trends of daily price movement. For anyone serious about success on the Forex, technical analysis, in my opinion, is the best method for making consistent profits and avoiding those horrendous cliffs!

Make-up for the bride s special day

The celebration of a wedding is the union of two individuals who have promised to pledge their love for all eternity. This is the long awaited moment for every girl who dreams of one day finding her prince charming that will sweep her off her feet. As the wedding day is indeed a very special day, it would be bride has exerted all efforts in the preparation for a grand celebration. Careful thought has been made as to the wedding theme, the reception, the motif, the gown, the wedding favors, and even the wedding make-up. This is her day to shine and look her best as she walks down the aisle.

Every bride wants to look her shining best not only for the wedding pictures and video but also for his groom and guests as well. A bride’s wedding make-up is a cross between make-ups for day and night wears. Usually for some, the wedding ceremony is held in the afternoon with the reception in the evening. So the bride’s make-up has to be suitable both for daytime as well as night time. The best way to go for any wedding make-up is to create a conservative yet natural looking make-up with warm colors to keep the bride’s face looking fresh and radiant the whole day.

The theme as well as the bridal gown needs to be taken into consideration also, to have make-up that is in accord or harmony with the design and style of the dress. When it comes to the shade of the blush, peach or beige would give a more natural look. Using an eye shadow color that is in contrast to the color of your eyes also looks nice to give emphasis and definition. Light earth tones on your eyes could help create a more natural look as well. In choosing a powder or foundation, always select a shade that is the same as your skin tone or complexion. It is bad taste to have the color of your face in a shade lighter than the color of your neck and shoulders.

Choose shades like peach or apricot on your cheeks to look slightly flushed or to give the illusion of natural rosiness to your cheek. Select a lipstick shade that is light like beige and not those like deep red or pink.

Feel more like a princess with make-up that will make your groom fall head over heels in love with you again.

Addiction when gambling becomes a problem

While most people enjoy casino gambling, sports betting, lottery and bingo playing for the fun and excitement it provides, others may experience gambling as an addictive and distractive habit. Statistics show that while 85 percent of the adult population in the US enjoys some type of gambling every year, between 2 and 3 percent of will develop a gambling problem and 1 percent of them are diagnosed as pathological gamblers.

Where can you draw the line between harmless gambling to problem gambling? How can you tell if you or your friend are compulsive gamblers? Here you can find answers to these questions and other questions regarding problem gambling and gambling addiction.

What is the Meaning of Problem Gambling?

Problem gambling or compulsive gambling is defined as an uncontrollable urge to gamble despite the destructive effect of gambling on the gamblers life and despite feelings of guilt and remorse. Problem gambling tends to have a negative effect on the gamblers financial state, relationships and daily life. Severe cases of problem gambling can be defined as pathological gambling.

Am I a Compulsive Gambler?

1) Do you gamble until your last penny runs out?

2) Do you gamble to win back your former losses or debts?

3) Did you ever had to borrow money to continue gamble?

4) Did your gambling habit ever made you lie to your friends or family?

5) Did you ever skip work or other obligation to gamble?

6) Do you tend to gamble to forget about your personal problems or to celebrate happy occasions?

7) Does gambling have a negative affect on your daily life or relationships?

If you have answered yes on at least one of the questions listed above, then you have a problem.

Can Anyone Become a Compulsive Gambler?

Theoretically, yes. Any gambler can develop gambling problem regardless to the type of gambling he is occupied with, the amount of money and time he is spending on gambling. Researches show that slot machines that can be found in bars and convenient stores are the most addictive type of gambling activity, while lottery draws and bingo games are located on the other end of the scale. Gambling addiction is an emotional problem; its symptoms, causes and treatments are similar to any other form of addiction.

How Can I treat Gambling Addiction?

1) Group Therapy:

Gamblers Anonymous offers a 12 step self help program similar to the one offered to alcohol addicts in Alcoholics Anonymous. Group therapy also offers gambling addicts advice and support from professional counselors and other gambling addicts in different phases of their recovery process. Gambler Anonymous centers are available in more than 1,200 locations statewide.

2) Individual Therapy:

Cognitive or behavior therapy can help gambling addicts to identify their unaware thinking and acting patterns, which led them to gamble compulsively, and to replace them with controllable and healthier ways of thinking.

3) Psychiatric Medication:

It has recently been proven that antidepressant medications from the family of SSRIs, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors can be affective in treatment of gambling addicts.

Value added copywriting

I know a preacher that can burn any pulpit down within an hour. His sermons cause the greatest stirs and responses in his audience and he really can keep his congregation awake. But there is one tiny problem. Ask many of his listeners what they think about his sermons and they’ll quickly respond with only words of acclamation. Follow that questions with a request for what the sermon was about and you’re met with only blank stares.

They knew that the sermon was “great” but cannot recall what they learned.

This reminds me of the popular selling tenant referred to as ‘selling the sizzle and not the stake’. In other words, build enthusiasm and curiosity about your product without giving away too much. Let them hear it, smell it, imagine it but never taste it until they buy.

I find however that when you’re selling high ticket items, because you are asking for a higher level of commitment from the prospect, you have to give something in order to get something back. So you have to give some ‘steak’ along with the ‘sizzle’. This is what is commonly referred to as ‘value added copywriting’.

I use some of this myself at my website webcopy-writing. com to sell my copywriting services. Right there in the sales letter itself are some tips and ideas on how to sell to prospects online. So the reader gains some value from reading the letter even before he or she uses my services.

But this “free information” also serves a few other purposes:

1. It helps to establish goodwill with the potential client. My willingness to share this information shows that I’m not stingy and helps to develop a relationship with the reader. So even if the prospect doesn’t use my service he walks away with something.

2. It helps to establish my credibility. This is an opportunity for me to show that I know what I’m about and have the qualifications to help the reader’s business.

3. It serves as a teaser. It’s obvious that I’m not saying everything that I know and that there is a ‘lot more where that came from’. In other words, if I’m willing to give away this information I must have a lot more ‘secrets’ up my sleeve.

4. It lowers the sales resistance of the reader because I’m in the giving rather than the taking mode. There is really no argument against someone who is giving you something for free.

5. It provides a natural incentive for the prospect to read your entire sales letter. Any device that encourages readership will also improve sales especially with longer sales copy.

It will be therefore helpful if you can provide your prospects with useful information in your sales literature. This may be in the form of a free report, an email course or case studies. Once this information is useful and not seen as an overt sales piece, then this should lead to an easy conversion of a new customer.

This technique of value added copywriting works very well in service-type industries. There are many services where the professional can ‘reveal’ a lot without fear of losing his value to the customer. This often occurs because even though someone may know how to perform a task, the job may be sufficiently difficult or unpleasant that it may be better left to the professionals.

A quick example comes to my mind. I know how to do simple maintenance work on my vehicle but I’ll prefer to pay to have this done. I’ll happily read all the available literature from my mechanic about how a mechanical repair should be done. The fact that my mechanic made this literature available to me gives me confidence in his performance of a great job.

So, in the same way, a lawyer may want to provide information on how to fill easy legal forms, while a plumber may provide information on performing simple repairs around the home. When a prospect read this helpful information and they need further ‘expert’ attention they would easily think of that lawyer or plumber.

Because the public today is bombarded with so many advertisers’ messages the usual sales talk is having less impact. With the advent of online advertising where it is easier and cheaper to get your message before thousands of eyes your sales message must have a lot more bite than its bark; a lot more steak where only sizzle use to be.

After listening to your sizzling message, your market congregation will need to recall more than the enthusiasm of your delivery. They must be able to recall enough value to want the whole shebang from you.

Seo guide to choosing a good title for your homepage

If you have read anything about Search Engine Optimisation then you will already know how vital having a good and unique title on your web pages can be. It is by far the most heavily weighted element on your web page and overall your home page is given the greatest weighting so it is even more important to choose a very good title for your website homepage. In this article we explore how to choose a good title using SEO techniques to identify relevant keywords and phrases and how to string them together to form the best title possible.

What we are trying to achieve in this article is finding a title that describes the overall theme of the website, incorporates your main product or services and also is able to sell in a few short words; as this will be seen as the title in the search engine results pages. From an online marketing view point it is also important to consider company and product branding; it may be important to include the brand in the title of the page also. From a pure SEO perspective it is more important to have the product or service present as this what is more relevant to the search a person would do in a search engine.

Okay let’s consider how we identify keywords and phrases that are the most relevant to your product or service.

For these next tasks I always have a couple of firefox windows open and also a spreadsheet.

1. Open "Overture Inventory" keyword volume checker website in a browser. Type in the product or service and push enter. Copy the results into the spreadsheet.

2. Open "WordTracker" website in a browser, and either using the free trial or account, login to the website. Using the WordTracker wizard tool type in the same product or service you typed in step 1. Copy the results into the spreadsheet.

3. Open "Google Adwords" website in a browser. Locate tools->keyword tool and enter the same keyword we used in the previous 2 steps. Check the "Use synonyms" checkbox. Copy the results into selected keywords and click on the "Estimate Search Traffic" button. Copy the results into the spreadsheet.

4. Looking at the spreadsheet and we have three separate sections of data. Now go through each of the sets of data and weed out any unrelated phrases or phrases by deleting them.

5. Now sort the three sections by their individual search volume. Looking down through each of the lists, highlight the terms that are the most relevant and have the highest search volume. Aim to finish each list with about 10 keyword phrases.

6. Using the lists of keyword Phrases we are now going to start forming a sentence. We are aiming to have 4-11 word title. If the title is shorter then more relevance and weight is placed on the words contained within it. If it is longer then as we progress to the right less and less weight is given to each word so it is important to put your most important keywords to the left of the title.

Google also uses "spanning" on titles. Spanning is where words within a string can be skipped but are still considered relevant because the remaining words tie in with the search query. It is important to understand this technique before we begin. For example, the title on a webpage is "Web Site Design Melbourne", someone searches in Google on "Web Design Melbourne" and the website would come up in the results because Google skipped the word "Site" in the title and still recognized that the web page was relevant to what was searched on. Using the leftward rule and spanning were looking to piece together a title that covers off as many of the possible high search volume terms as possible while keeping the title short and relevant.

So, after step 6 you should have formed a title. Implement it on your website and monitor how your website ranks for those keyword phrase terms. Keep track of this and it can be helpful when you are learning to experiment, move words around, reconstruct, shorten, lengthen, mix it up a bit and see how it all works. It is important to wait a long enough period of time between changes to ensure you are seeing some kind of reaction, otherwise you could be constantly making changes and not know whether it was the most recent change or the last one. Be patient, learn and track your websites rankings for keyword terms.

You can successfully reach financial freedom with a home based business

The power of entrepreneurship and the rapid growth of the direct selling industry have business-savvy investors and large, respected companies sitting up and taking notice. It’s no surprise to the 13.6 million Americans and 55 million people worldwide already part of the direct selling industry that business is booming. Whether you know it as network marketing, multi-level marketing or referral marketing, the industry is making a powerful impact on the way people do business and how they live their lives.

How is it possible that this industry is thriving when so many are feeling an economic pinch? Well, that is simply a matter of perspective. The glass – is-half-full camp believes this is a time of massive economic change. And discerning entrepreneurs who recognize these shifting trends and stake their claim in these new and emerging industries will be the ones to gain enormously. As Fortune magazine recently stated.” Forget the paycheck; your W-2 days are over. It’s a 1099 world now”.

Today’s direct selling distributors also called representatives, associates, or independent business owners tell customers, typically people they know, about products and services that can improve the quality of their lives during the course of everyday, normal conversations. These person-to-person conversations might take place at home, at work, or at a coffee shop. And you don’t have to be an experienced salesperson to make money if what you’re selling is a product you use and believe in.

The ease of entry makes direct selling a practical, accessible method for millions to earn additional part-time income without having to quit their job. The typical direct selling company provides all the tools systems and training needed to be up and profitable immediately for a nominal entry fee.

The beauty of direct selling is that it’s all done for you. You don’t have to create a business plan. You don’t have to create a product. The only thing you need to do is find a reputable company, one that you trust, that offers a product or service you believe in and can get passionate about. Anyone can do this!

As the ultimate equal opportunity solution, direct selling represents the purest form of equality through free enterprise. In fact, that’s one of the most striking features of the industry: It involves men and women from all walks of life: all ages: all racial, ethnic and socioeconomic groups.

In fact, the top earners in direct selling also represent a diverse group of successful case histories. According to the direct selling association, the industry’s trade group, 24 percent of direct sellers have high school diploma or less education; 35 percent are college graduates; and one in 12 has a postgraduate degree.

In my opinion the best way we can secure our own future is to take charge of it early on. We can do this by creating multiple streams of income. There is one thing that can provide you financial freedom and that is residual income.

Residual income is money that keeps coming in long after you complete the work that created it. This can include the monthly income from a rental house, dividends from stock investments and even oil, gas, book or song royalties. Regardless of the source, residual income is the name of the game, and the genius of the direct selling model is that it makes residual income a very real possibility for absolutely anyone, regardless of age, background, education or skills. Not everyone is going to own a valuable piece of real estate or write a best-selling book. But anyone can run their own direct selling business.

Best selling author Stephen Covey says” Direct selling helps affirm people’s worth and potential, and can open up a whole new alternative income stream that can make a huge difference in their life. It is entrepreneurial opportunity where people can use their talent and their passion towards a greater good.

Direct selling’s status as the business world’s best-kept secret may soon be in jeopardy. But that’s what happens when business is booming.

Treating fever with generic drugs

Fever may be defined as a mild to moderate physical illness that is characterized by the increase in body temperature to above normal. A person is considered to have a fever if the body temperature has already recorded at 98.4 to 99.5 degrees Fahrenheit. It is not usually dangerous unless it measures 103 degrees or higher.

Having a fever accompanies many if not most illnesses known to man. The presence of fever may signal the presence of virus or bacteria in the body. When the immune system detects these infections, the body's temperature rises and makes it harder for the invading germs. In many cases, it can be regarded as secondary to another more serious disease or illness. But the use of cheap generic drugs or less expensive medicines and proper lifestyle adjustments, this ailment can be easily treated and eased.

Most kinds of fever go away on their own after one or two days. However, there are certain things that can be done to hasten recovery and increase one's comfort. Fever can usually be treated with common pain relievers like ibuprofen or acetaminophen. However, these medications should be used with extreme caution because they cause liver or kidney damage, and other ailments if used in high doses or extended periods. Aspirin can also be an option, but this drug should never be given to children or teens because it may trigger the development of liver diseases. Plenty of liquids such as water or fruit juices should be consumed to cool down the body and prevent dehydration. Individuals who wish to try medication should take cheap generic drugs than branded ones. A generic drug is identical to a brand name drug in safety, strength, and quality. Even though generics are identical to brand name drugs, they are typically sold at substantial discounts from the branded price. Typical savings of at least 50 to 70 percent can be saved by the average consumer if generics are used instead of the more expensive branded drugs.

Individuals with fever should visit the doctor if the following develops:

Body temperature rises to 104 degrees Fahrenheit or above.

Body temperature has been higher than 101 degrees Fahrenheit for more than three days.

Body temperature rises to 100.5 degrees for a couple of weeks with no other symptoms.

Illness persists or seems to be worsening.

Rather than seeking medical help or other methods to treat fever, preventing infections that may lead to the development of fever should be the priority of many individuals. Below are some of the things than can be done to avoid the development of fever.

Wash your hands thoroughly (often one of the best ways to avoid catching a cold).

Shaking hands with someone who has a cold is risky, so avoid rubbing your eyes or nose afterwards.

Food should be cooked or cooled down as quickly as possible.

Vegetables and meat must be stored separately and prepared on separate chopping boards.

Meat should preferably be served well-done.

Fever is an ailment that can be easily treated if it is properly understood and addressed through rest and medication. However, rather than just seeking medical treatment, maintaining an active lifestyle and eating nutritious food should be part of one’s daily regimen.

What s the right e-commerce package for your business

Recovering from the dot com crash in 2000, e-commerce is rising once again. Stay in the comfort of your home. Spend more time with your family. Be your own boss. The benefits of having a home business are numerous. That is why so many people are trying to run their own home business. Being enthusiastic about igniting their own income through the Internet, these people search to find how they can create their own business. Then they realize that there are so many options for them to choose from. So, what is the best e-commerce package for you? When it comes to e-commerce packages, most online merchants have the same basic needs. The trick is to make sure an e-commerce package satisfies your needs. Causing less frustration, you should also try to find something that will be easy to use.

Some important things to look for in an e-commerce package are:

1. Choose a provider that will give you a site and hosting combo.

Choosing a provider that helps you set up a site and hosts it for you can save you from a lot of frustration. By choosing a website and hosting combination, you are guaranteed that your e-commerce package will not have to be manually altered.

2. A wide variety of templates

While all templates can be customized, sometimes that just does not work for every business. If there is a large amount of templates to choose from, there is bound to be a template for your business.

3. Payments

You need to make sure that the payment options that your e-commerce package uses will satisfy your customers needs. For example if your e-commerce package only accepts Paypal, you will miss out on the customers that do not use Paypal. This will decrease your earnings.

4. Shopping Cart

Most people like to see what they are purchasing. Customers may also want to change what they want to buy. Perhaps they found something better.

5. Calculation of tax and shipping

While most customers probably will not be shopping from your state, tax is not a major problem. Shipping is a different matter. Shipping must be calculated for all customers. Customers also want to see what their shipping costs will be.

6. Reports

While reports are not beneficial to customers, they are beneficial for you. E-commerce packages that offer reports help you keep track of your expenses and earnings. They save a lot of frustration.

The dot com era is back

In a recent article titled "Internet use threatens to overtake TV in Canada" it discusses the threat of online marketing to traditional media sources in Canada. This isn't a a threat anymore in the US. It is a fact.

An article written by Thomas Mucha from Business 2.0 says:

People are spending more time online than watching TV, which gives marketers a better chance to reach consumers in a place where they are just one click away from making a purchase. "More than 75 percent of companies using the Internet to advertise report confidence in their return on investment," writes the study's lead author, Jupiter Research senior analyst Gary Stein. This confidence, Stein argues, will sustain spending momentum across all the key online ad areas: paid search, display ads, classified ads, and rich media.

Interesting to note that two studies are similar. Although The Ipsos Reid study of Canada claims radio is losing more interest than TV in Canada, it may soon lose to the Internet as well.

Mr. Mucha claims 40 percent of total spending by 2010 will be paid advertisements on Google, Yahoo and MSN to an estimate of $19 billion per year. Not much wonder why the search engines are trying to dominate each other and the marketplace. The one that becomes the most popular will also make the most money.

What will become of the little guy? Will it put an end to buying keywords for ad placement on search engines? Will the small business owner get shoved out of the picture? Maybe not altogether... but let's face it. If GM decides they want to use the keywords you are using, can you afford to compete? The search engines will be laughing "all the way to the bank" and the cost per clicks will just keeping going up... (he-he) similar to the price of gasoline at the pumps these days.

Even though the cost of clicks may get pricey, the major search engines will always have to index relevant websites and include these results and return them on any keyword search. Professional sites (versus linkfarm, affiliate, spam sites) will always be in favour, and the sooner business can get their company sites built, if they haven't already; the better. Google seems to be the top search engine right now, and new sites often get sandboxed. If they hold on to their dominant position, new websites want to make sure this doesn't happen to them.

I've always felt that there was something Google was doing that gave some sites more relevance than others in its index, but wasn't sure how it was applied. At the Search Engine Strategies conference last week in San Jose, California, Rand Fishkin learned that Google places some new Web sites, "regardless of their merit, or lack thereof, in a sort of probationary category" for six months to a year to "allow time to determine how users react to a new site, who links to it, etc."

On a final piece of advice he suggests:

"Several people have also predicted that Yahoo! or MSN may take up similar techniques to help stop spam. This phenomenon could seriously undermine new SEO/Ms and new campaigns, but it is a possibility. My recommendation is not to discount this possibility and launch projects or at least holding sites and their promotional efforts ASAP. The web environment right now is still relatively friendly to new sites, but will certainly become more competitive and unforgiving with time, no matter what search engine filters exist."

Although it is starting to sound a little like the "Dot Com era is back" it will be a little different this time around. In 2000 when it went bust, it is partly because the percentage of consumers purchasing online didn't justify the amount of spending. There was a lack of confidence. It is different now. Jupiter's study shows that "73 percent of Americans who use the Internet have made a purchase online and four out of five of these potential shoppers have responded to an online ad."

Internet marketing how to learn the ropes

Becoming an internet marketing pro is not as easy as you may think. Although you can learn a lot on your own, there are some things that you need to get help with. Of course, before you can do this, you need to know where and how you can learn the ropes of internet marketing. This is something that you can do if you put your mind to it. The main reason that many people fail in this area is because they are not totally dedicated to the learning process. Instead of letting this happen to you, find out how you can learn the ropes of internet marketing, and then take things from there.

Here are three places to search for information on internet marketing. These are great resources for newcomers, but also for people who have been in the game for a while. The fact of the matter is that any place you can gather internet marketing is a place that you should consider looking.

As you can imagine, the best place to find internet marketing is online. There are many websites and blogs devoted to this field, and if you put time into it, you will find thousands of them. There is enough internet marketing information available online to keep you busy for days on end. You may not want to read through everything that you find, but you do need to spend some time with these resources.

Getting information from people who are successful internet marketers is always a good idea. For instance, do you know somebody who is doing a great job right now in this industry? If so, ask them if they are willing to become a mentor to you. You may have to search around for the perfect mentor, but if you ask enough people, you are sure to find somebody who is willing to give you advice when you need it. And remember, learning from somebody who has been a success may be the best way to go.

When it comes to internet marketing, there are many books that you can purchase. You may be more so inclined to read online, but this is not always best in every case. Consider buying at least one book on internet marketing so that you can get all of the information that you need.

These are three of the best ways to learn the internet marketing ropes. If you are interested in this industry, you will want to try out all three of these as soon as possible. The more information that you read about internet marketing the better chance you have of succeeding early on. And when it comes down to it, this is probably what you want to do, right?

High blood pressure can be caused by loneliness

:
A lonely heart could just be one of the important factors that causes high blood pressure. In fact, a recent study shows loneliness can be as bad for your heart as being over weight or inactive. Could spending time with friends be the answer to lowering your blood pressure?

How Is Blood Pressure Affected?

When the University of Chicago studied a group of 229 men and women between the ages of 50 and 68 ... they found something interesting. After eliminating all other factors, they found that those who lacked comradeship were more likely to have high blood pressure.

The blood pressure of the loneliest people in the study was 10 to 30 mm Hg higher than those who had companionship. Compared to this ... losing 10 kg of excess body weight can reduce your blood pressure by 5 to 20 mm Hg ... physical activity has been shown to lower it by 4 to 9 mm Hg.

This shows the importance of social relations in our lives. A big part of living a healthy life is enjoying good relationships with friends and family.

My research on naturally lowering blood pressure showed ... spending joyful time with friends is good for your health. Laughing with your comrades ... joking with your pals ... enjoying a fun time with your family ... these times relax you and counter high blood pressure.

More Loneliness and High Blood Pressure

As our population ages and more people are living alone ... loneliness and high blood pressure are on the increase. The first of the baby boomer generation are hitting 60 this year ... a large group of people will retire and move away from their circle of workplace friends. Family and friends move, get sick, pass away ... more and more elderly are feeling loneliness.

As household sizes decrease ... as the number of people living alone increases ... the risk of loneliness increases -- and with it, the risk of heart disease.

Social relationships need to be replenished ... you need to find new friends.

How To Avoid Loneliness

Get involved. Joining volunteer work and social groups allows you to make new friends. Getting out and about ... being active in your community ... it's not only good for exercise, but also for social contact. It's a great way to build your comradeship.

Join volunteer activities in your community. Help out with groups keeping parks clean ... join in area patrols ... take part in local blood drives ... work on a campaign. Doing something for your community not only makes you feel useful ... it brings you into close contact with others.

Take college night courses, join hiking groups, go on a tour ... all are great ways to meet interesting people. Have fun and share a laugh.

Be open to new friendships ... avoid being a lone wolf ... avoid high blood pressure. Take this one step to protect your heart, today.

The 7 components of vision

When we hear about vision, we often hear the words purpose, dreams, calling, passion and gifts used synonymously. It’s time to clear this up once and for all! There are seven components to vision and understanding each one will help clarify your path.

First, let’s talk about this word “dream” that you have heard so much about and how it fits into vision. While a dream is an important part of the puzzle, it is just the beginning. Dreams open up your imagination and ability for your mind to “see” what it is that you can conceive for your life. Many of us model our dreams after the lives of others. While dreams open the doorway, there are 7 components of vision that are through the door that dreams assist you in opening. Dreams alone will not take you to your promised land. If you’ve been dreaming, it’s time to gain the clarity you need to truly manifest your vision.

Purpose. The first component of vision is purpose. Your purpose tells you the theme of your life; the reason you exist. To uncover your purpose, ask yourself, “If money and time were not an issue, what I would do and If I could make plenty of money any way I chose, what would I do?” Your purpose gives you a general idea and direction to move, but by itself, it is not the whole picture.

Desires of your heart. The second component of vision is the desires of your heart. The desires of your heart go beyond your surface-level dreams to those things you deeply long for, desire and are willing to work for. The desires of your heart compel you in a way that won’t let you go. What do you really want?

Scripture tells you that God will give you the desires of your heart if you put His Kingdom first. While dreams require nothing in particular and may or may not come to pass, desires of your heart require obedience and are part of God’s grace, mercy and blessings that He has in store for you.

Passion. Your passion consists of those things that bring you joy and fulfill you when you are doing them. When you are operating in your passion, you experience a flow and effortlessness that makes it easy to stay the course. When you are passionate you are excited, inspired, motivated, focused, fulfilled, and walking in your greatness. Within your passion lies the clues that will keep you going. What do you love doing? What are you passionate about?

Gifts and talents. The next aspects of vision to talk about are your gifts and talents. Your gifts are those things that just come naturally to you and are not actually taught, they were deposited in you from God. If you did go to school to learn more about them, you probably excelled in them or you were bored because it came so easily to you. Gifts are sometimes challenging to identify because they are such a part of you. What gifts have God bestowed upon you? Hidden in your gifts are the additional clues you need to understand the methods God has given you to make a difference in your area of purpose.

Yet, gifts are only half of this component. The other half of this component is your talent. Your talent consists of those things you are naturally good at, but need to practice developing to perfect. What are you good at, but need to be great at in order to effectively operate in your gifting? Together, your gifts and talents create an additional dimension to understanding your specific Kingdom assignment.

Area of service. Your area of service is the particular target audience or group of people you were put here to serve. Another way to think about your area of service is your special niche. You are a Shepard. When you are a Shepard, your sheep recognize and respond to your voice and call. God has created you to oversee a flock that can only hear your voice. Who is your flock? Are they scattered all over the hillsides waiting for you to live your vision? Are they not being taken care of because you are in fear or are they tied up tending to the daily obligations that fill your calendar, but are not God’s purpose for you? Who were you born to serve? What does your flock need?

Calling. I also refer to your calling as your altitude. Your calling or altitude is the scope of your Kingdom assignment (within your child’s school, the city, state, region, nation or world). Be careful not to confuse your calling with what you think it would be fun to do. Be careful not to covet someone else’s calling. If God did not drop that vision into your spirit, it is not for you. Focus on what God has shown you as your specific role. You will be completely fulfilled carrying out your calling even though others may be doing similar work on a broader scale.

Together, all the 7 components of vision should assist you in clarifying the full picture of what you were born to do. Please take some time to get clear about it because it holds the power to change the course of the rest of your life. With all 7 components, you now have all of the tools you need to take the steps toward making your vision a reality.

The exact risks of being in debt

In a society where the costs of goods and services continues to rise and incomes remain stagnant, swiping the credit card to get the necessities needed to live is a habit many are familiar with; so much so that they probably don’t realize how often they are doing it.

The problem with this way of living is that it often leads to trouble, such as repossessions, or worse foreclosure, or even more worse, bankruptcy. Oftentimes people get too far into debt to get themselves out. Credit cards come with high interest, which can be hard to pay each month if you are carrying a balance $6,000 or more. Depending on the interest rate, a person with this type of balance on their credit card could be facing a minimum monthly payment of $300 or more, and most of that is interest.

There are good lenders and bad lenders. You should always look at credit card companies as bad lenders, a necessary evil you need to use on occasion to make ends meet. Don’t be grateful for their services because they are making a ridiculously huge profit from you. Good lenders though, are available to help get you out of trouble when you’re entrenched above your head in debt.

If you should find yourself in this predicament then a low interest debt consolidation loan could be what you need to get your finances back on track. This type of loan can help you maintain possession of such precious items as your car and home. In order to take advantage of this service you will need to do some researching and checking into companies who offer this sort of program. It is important that you shop around for the best deal. The loan industry is highly competitive, so don’t give your money to just anybody.

What debt consolidation does is offer you a loan with a low interest rate, often around 4%. They pay off all of your outstanding debt, and you in turn make one low monthly payment every month to them. This saves you the impossible task of trying to make the minimum monthly payments on your credit cards. Instead of paying interest on two or three cards with interest rates as high as 21%, you only have to contend with the one monthly payment. This also allows you to salvage your credit score and keep it from tanking by filing bankruptcy or defaulting on another loan.

Many people will tell you it’s a bad thing to be in debt, but these are people being overpaid to tell you this and who also don’t have to worry about operating a household on a monthly budge. In society today, debt is a common part of the American way of life. If you want to own a car or a house and be able to furnish the house, you have to rack up some debt in order to do it; however, be cautious about your spending habit so that you don’t find yourself sinking beneath a mountain of debt.
